A fun course for the home barista and coffee enthusiast to get a fundamental understanding of espresso coffee basics and improve their skills. We cover:
Specialty coffee – from coffee cherry to the roasted coffee bean
Buying and storing coffee
Correct dosing, tamping and grinder adjustments
De-mystifying coffee recipes
Coffee extraction - the signs you are looking for to know you are extracting your espresso correctly
Texturing silky smooth milk of the correct temperature
Learning how to prepare two black coffees – espresso and long black – and 2 whites - flat white and cappuccino
Introduction to basic latte art
·Espresso machine basics, correct cleaning and preventative maintenance for your machine and grinder.
Course duration: 3 hours. Recommencing in February 2024 and run monthly on the second Wednesday of every month thereafter between 5.30 and 8pm. We will be in contact to book in a course time once you have purchased.
Class Size: Minimum 3, maximum 6.
